Let play! 7/11/2020 Today we look at ICU & (Emergency Room Trauma aka Trauma Center) we provide the highest level of trauma care to critically ill or injured patients.

The injured patients have an increased survival rate of 25% in comparison to those not treated at a Level 1, the trauma center is an area of a hospital that's equipped to treat the most high-risk of injuries — think gunshot wounds, serious car crash injuries, and major more problems ... Trauma centers offer more extensive care than emergency departments, and the difference between a trauma center an emergency room can be life and death.

The intensive care unit (ICU) room is a highly specialized environment, differing in many ways from a standard hospital room. Common illnesses that may require treatment in the ICU. Sepsis. Traumatic Brain Injury. Shock. Stroke. Ruptured Brain Aneurysm. Code Blue: An emergency situation announced in a hospital or institution in which a patient is in cardiopulmonary arrest, requiring a team of providers (sometimes called a 'code team') to rush to the specific location and begin immediate resuscitative efforts.
