Man Released After Spending 36 Years in Prison, After Stealing $50

A Alabama man who spent more then 3 decades in jail for a $50 robbery is now a free man, when a judge altered the life sentence . Alvin, was 22 when he was sentences to life without parole in the 1980s. He served 36 years in prison, he is now 58. What the courts did they re-sentenced Alvin. Social Media Reports he was convicted of 1st degree robbery for the January in 1983 robbery of a bakery. He was sentenced to life under the state law of Alabama's Habitual Felony Offender Act, following other charges he received at 18.
